Fontanaluccia is a country dell'Appennino Modena which is located at the centre of the valley of the river Dolo, in the municipality of Frassinoro in the province of Modena. At the beginning of the thirteenth century the village was inhabited by a few people but very quickly reached the title of the municipality. The small fraction is famous thanks to the dam on Dolo which provides water to power and the huge presence of chestnut trees which are dedicated a festival during the autumn.
